BECOME A MENTOR!

Building a relationship with someone to help them grow personally directly impacts your own personal growth.  Lending your time and compassion is especially gratifying and meaning.

It also saves lives.

GET A MENTOR!

No one gets through life alone.

For those struggling without guidance, a safe environment, and limited resources, you need support, encouragement, and new skills to get on and stay on the right track-

your life depends on it.

Our Mentors are the DC legal system's #1  resource
of pro-social support for those at risk

“I want to take this opportunity to personally thank you for the invaluable assistance you have provided to the Reentry Court of the United States for the District of Columbia during the past several years...You know best the challenges our Reentry Court participants are confronting. Your 24/7 accessibility, counsel, compassion, and constructive criticism of the participants sometimes potentially destructive conduct and dysfunctional thought processes have brought to the mission of the Reentry Court assistance that few, if any can provide. ”

Honorable Reggie B. Walton

 Senior United States District Judge

Saving Lives and Changing Futures

Changing the arc of futures for returning citizens is a purpose born out of shared experience.

While judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and probation officers are essential components of the reentry process, our past experience as an ex-offender know best the challenges you are confronting.

Our goal is to help you navigate the educational, civic, economic, and family challenges our mentees experience upon release.  We intervene to give you a chance that may have been unavailable to you--  a chance to succeed.
